Duvall Electric sponsors USMTS in 2015

CLAREMORE, Okla.—The latest in a busy off-season for the USMTS is the announcement of a new participating sponsor in 2015. Duvall Electric based in Claremore, Oklahoma will join the impressive list of partners supporting the nation's elite Modified tour.

Duvall Electric was started by "Big Daddy" Joe Duvall, a regular competitor with the series in 1999. They service clients with work on electrical projects in virtually any price range. The company employs between 14 to 16 people at any time and reaches well outside of their Tulsa, Oklahoma area base of operations.

"I was laid off as a machinist after graduating high school," recalled Duvall. "I had a buddy who gave me a job in the industry and I knew that was what I was going to do the rest of my life. Even as a youngster, I knew I had to do something to make enough money so I could race."

Duvall has overseen the company from the beginning and recalls a seven year stretch in the beginning before they closed what he considered the company's first big deal. Since then he simply says he is blessed and has been very fortunate in the electrical industry.

"We really appreciate Joe coming on with Duvall Electric to support the series this season," commented USMTS President Todd Staley. "He has a growing fan base and we thank him for giving back to the series to make it better for everyone."

"I believe in this series," added Duvall. "I really don't have any expectations for this partnership. They just had a hole and I had the ability to help out. We are licensed to work everywhere the tour takes us to race, so that is a plus."

Duvall plans to start his season at the South Texas Speedway in Corpus Christi, Feb. 12-14, in the MVT Gulf Coast Border Region opener.
