Update: the event scheduled for Tuesday, July 19, at the Southern Iowa Speedway has been rained out.

DES MOINES, Iowa—Unfortunately the races for tonight (Monday, July 18) have been canceled at the Iowa State Fair Speedway.

The report was over six inches of rain in 36 hours Unfortunately we just don't have any control on Mother Nature. Stay tuned, and we will announce as soon as we know something regarding a reschedule date or cancellation.

The long-awaited return of the world's fastest and most exciting Modifieds happens this Tuesday, July 19, when the USMTS Casey’s Cup returns to the Southern Iowa Speedway for one gigantic night of racing at the Mahaska County Monster.

Back by popular demand, the fire-breathing USMTS Modifieds will battle for a $3,000 top prize while every feature race starter will earn at least $250 in the 11th Annual USMTS Summer Classic.

The tripleheader event will also showcase the Iron Man Series featuring Holley USRA Stock Cars ($750 to win) and Out-Pace USRA B-Mods ($600 to win).

Thanks to a special mystery sponsor, all Stock Car and B-Mod drivers who have earned track points in 2016 at the Southern Iowa Speedway will have their entry fee paid in full!

Gates open at 5:00 with hot laps at 6:45 and racing at 7:00.

Adult general admission tickets are $20, kids age 11-6 are $10 and children 10 and under get in for FREE.
