Last lap pass puts Gustin in Volusia victory lane

BARBERVILLE, Fla. -- USMTS standout Ryan Gustin of Marshalltown, Iowa, made the most memorable pass of the weekend Friday night as he went around Ken Schrader in the final corner to claim his first ever win at the Volusia Speedway Park.

"The Reaper" shadowed Schrader late in the race, pulling ahead briefly with five laps to go before making his race-winning move on the outside of Schrader in turn 3 as they raced to the checkered flag.

"When you can go door to door with one of the best in the business that's exciting," said Gustin in victory lane.

Gustin nearly captured Thursday night's feature race too, but fell a few feet short behind Clint Bowyer.
