Featherlite flies with USMTS in 2024

Featherlite Trailers has been the title sponsor of the Featherlite Fall Jamboree for more than 20 years, and today the United States Modified Touring Series is proud to announce a new and exciting partnership with the world leader in the design and manufacture of all-aluminum specialty trailers.

Featherlite and the USMTS have been friends almost as long as I’ve been alive,” said Ryne Staley, USMTS Director of Marketing & Sales. “We’re all looking forward to working together for the benefit of our fans and racers.”

“We are excited to partner with USMTS for this upcoming race season as the Official Trailer of the USMTS and the Presenting Sponsor of the Northern Region,” Justin Queensland, President of Featherlite Trailers, said. “We’ve long admired the dedicated racers and passionate fans of America’s most popular open-wheel dirt modified touring series.

“Featherlite’s history in the racing world began over 30 years ago. In addition to supporting some of the world’s most prominent race organizations, we’ve been a leading supplier of racecar transporters and trailers for racers across the country since then. We look forward to, and take pride in, supporting USMTS and its drivers as they embark on an exciting season.”

As part of their endeavors to support USMTS competitors and fans, Featherlite will also sponsor the Featherlite Top-3 Podium in every Victory Fuel Victory Lane. The driver who garners the most top three finishes during the season will take home as additional $1,000 cash award and a one-of-a-kind plaque honoring the driver’s accomplishment.

The new Official Trailer of the USMTS will also be making a generous contribution to the year-end points fund that will benefit all eligible drivers in the Summit USMTS National Championship presented by RacinDirt.

About Featherlite Trailers: For over 50 years, Featherlite Trailers has been a leading designer and manufacturer of all-aluminum specialty trailers. Featherlite’s product line includes car trailers, cargo trailers, horse trailers, livestock trailers and other specialty trailers, including 53 foot race transporters.

Featherlite trailers are sold through a dealer network across the U.S. and Canada, with its specialty trailers sold through a dedicated sales team at its Cresco, Iowa headquarters.

In 1973, Featherlite pioneered the first all-aluminum gooseneck trailer, and the company was officially established that year in Oklahoma before eventually calling Minnesota home for several years. One of its dealers back in the 1970s was located in Cresco, Iowa, and therefore, Featherlite began building trailers in Cresco in 1979.
