LANSING, Minn. -- Persistent rain on Friday forced officials at the Chateau Raceway in Lansing, Minn., to cancel the 6th Annual Cedar River Race at the 1/3-mile clay oval.

The event will not be rescheduled this season.

On Saturday, the Hunt for the USMTS Casey’s General Stores National Championship powered by Swan Energy heads to the Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minn., for the 7th Annual BP Labor Day Dual presented by Baudoin Oil.

‘The Creek’ has hosted more USMTS events than any other racetrack, and Saturday’s feature race will be the 54th here in the 13-year history of the United States Modified Touring Series.

Cornbelt Clash Late Models, WISSOTA Super Stocks and WISSOTA Street Stocks will round out the action Saturday night. Grandstands gates open at 3 p.m. with $1 beer, pop and hot dogs available from 3-4 p.m. Races start at 5 p.m. sharp.
