SPRING VALLEY, Minn. -- A second day of rain prompted a second straight victory for Mother Nature as officials were forced to cancel Saturday’s event for the Hunt for the USMTS Casey’s General Stores National Championship powered by Swan Energy at the Deer Creek Speedway.

The 7th Annual BP Labor Day Dual presented by Baudoin Oil will not be rescheduled, but the USMTS Modifieds will return to ‘The Creek’ Sept. 22-24 for the 13th Annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree.

The Labor Day Weekend swing wraps up on Sunday at the Dodge County Speedway for the 10th Annual Kasson Klash and the 28th occasion that the USMTS has taken the green flag at the Kasson, Minn., speedplant.

Tim Donlinger held off Jason Hughes in a thriller last summer during the Hunt for the USMTS Casey’s General Stores National Championship powered by Swan Energy for his first USMTS win in Kasson.

While Hughes has three wins along with Memorial Day Weekend winner Tommy Myer, Kelly Shryock tops he list with four career wins here. Brad Waits, Todd Scharkey and Dan Chapman are two-time winners while Ryan Gustin, Mike Hejna, Mike Sorensen, Jon Tesch, Corey Dripps, Nate Wasmund, Scott Megonigle, Chris Spieker and Mike Chasteen have one win each.

Hot laps are at 5:45 p.m. with racing at 6. WISSOTA Super Stocks and WISSOTA Street Stocks are also on tap for Sunday's show.

Tommy Myer and his #65 Cheetos Modified will be at the Casey’s General Store located at 320 N. Main St. in Mantorville from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Coupons good for $2 off adult admission will also be available at Casey’s locations in Owatonna, West Concord and Zumbrota.
