What a ride: IMIS 2011 exceeds expectations

INDIANAPOLIS -- The 2011 International Motorsports Industry Show is officially in the record books ... and what a show it was! With expanded floor space, more events and record attendance, the third annual IMIS exceeded expectations. Friday seemed to be the fan favorite, with the most people and activity on the floor. However, all three days of the hardcore racing trade show were well attended and business was booming. With a turnout like this, it's clear that the International Motorsports Industry Show is where business happens!

Racing safety a hot topic at IMIS
The IMIS Safety & Technical Conference presented by Safety-Kleen was a big success this year. The two-day event featured a long list of speakers covering a wide range of topics, including crash test reviews, data acquisition, dynamic passing maneuvers, fire suppression and much more. There was also a lively panel discussion and questions from the audience. It proved to be an important event that made quite an impression on attendees.

Now that's a haul!
Christmas came a bit early for one lucky IMIS attendee. Jack Kassin, a drag racer from Clinton Township, Mich., was the big winner of the Hardcore Hauler Sweepstakes. He won a fully-loaded 26-foot essential hauler. Kassin said he was planning on buying a trailer, but was more than happy to haul this one away for free instead.

See you next year!
There's no doubt about it ... IMIS 2011 was a hit! We've gotten lots of great feedback from both exhibitors and attendees, and plans are already underway to make sure next year's show is even better. Exhibitor registrations are flying in and attendees already want us to open registration! Mark December 6-8 on your calendar and make sure to join us for IMIS 2012!
