Iron Man Challenge joins USMTS Modifieds at LA Raceway, Mississippi Thunder Speedway


LA MONTE, Mo. -- The USRA B-Mods will be in action next Thursday, April 19, when the Industrial Material Surplus Iron Man Challenge accompanies the USMTS Modifieds to the LA Raceway in La Monte, Mo., for the 6th Annual Schwab’s Tinker Shop Show-Me Shootout.

Gates will be opening at 4 p.m., with hot laps starting at 7 and the first heat race to follow.

The following week, Fastenal Company is joining forces with Mississippi Thunder Speedway to present the USMTS National Championship Series and the Industrial Material Surplus Iron Man Challenge featuring USRA B-Mods at the 2012 season opener on Friday, April 27.

Also on the card for the 7:30 p.m. season-opening spectacular at the 3/8-mile high-banked dark clay oval will be Street Stocks and Pure Stocks.

USRA B-Mods will battle for $500 to win each night.

The 2012 Industrial Material Surplus Iron Man Challenge points champion will be determined by the best 12 finishes for USRA B-Mods. To be eligible for points funds, drivers must possess a valid USRA license, utilize the American Racer KK704 racing tire on all four wheels and compete in at least half of the events for their division.

All Iron Man Challenge events will also award USRA national points.
