Scott takes cover on June issue of Dirt Modified Magazine
Stormy Scott took the dirt modified racing world by storm when he captured the King of America II Modified Nationals this past March at the Humboldt Speedway.
His efforts earn him a career payday of $15,000 for the win, and now “The King” adorns the cover of this month's issue of Dirt Modified Magazine.
Readers can relive all of the action and inside news about this year's event with Ashlee Sieveke's “King of America Notebook” as well as dozens of photos from the event from photographers like Lloyd Collins, John Lee, Dayton Sutterby, Bryan Hulbert and Buck Monson.
In addition to Scott, who leads the current USMTS Rookie of the Year standings and finished third in last year's American USRA Weekly Racing Series national standings, articles about off-and-on USMTS competitor Ben Stephens of Missisippi and multi-time Humboldt Speedway USRA Modified track champion Justin “Whitey” Folk are also in the June 2012 issue.
As always, you can also find enlightening and informative columns by Ray Beste, Steve Davis, Cyndi Stiffler, Mike O’Connor and Travis Cushion. Plus, Troy Harrison concludes his two-part story on the spiraling cost of Modified racing today where you might be surprised to find a subject that both USMTS president Todd Staley and IMCA boss Brett Root agree upon.
