SUPERIOR, Wis. -- The USMTS Casey’s Cup Series event slated for Wednesday night at the Amsoil Speedway in Superior, Wis., has been canceled due to rain.

The USMTS Modifieds now turn their attention to Thursday when they visit the Granite City Speedway in Sauk Rapids, Minn. Pits and grandstand gates will open at 4 p.m., hot laps will be held at 6 and racing will begin at 7. Midwest Mods ($500 to win), Pure Stocks, Hobby Stocks and Hornets will also be in action.

The Granite City Speedway is a 3/8-mile semi-banked clay oval located 2.5 miles north of SR 23 on US 10, then 2 miles east on Golden Spike Rd. (CR 3). For more information, call 715-497-8916 or check out www.gcspeedway.com online.

The weekend wraps up with two nights at the Cedar Lake Speedway near New Richmond, Wis., as part of the classic 14th Annual Masters event. After nearly a decade since their last visit to the historic facility, the USMTS Modifieds joined the Masters event last year as they shared the spotlight with the UMP Late Models during their annual Summer Nationals “Hell Tour” grind.
