CRANDALL, Texas -- Friday night at the Town East Ford “Built Ford Tough 50” USMTS event at RPM Speedway, all ticket holders will be allowed into the ElbowsUp.com Pre-Race Party at 6:10 p.m.

The ElbowsUp.com Pre-Race Party opens at 6 p.m. for advance ticket holders. Only people with VIP armbands will be allowed in to the VIP area from 6-6:10 p.m. The ElbowsUp.com Pre-Race Party ends at 6:30, with hot laps at 6:45 and racing at 7:30 p.m.

As an unadvertised bonus, advance ticket holders will be issued a free drink ticket when they receive their tickets at the VIP ticket window tonight. Drink tickets are good for any fountain drink or bottled water. Additionally, there will be an express drink window set up in the souvenir stand located directly next to the concession stand. Snow cones are also for sale tonight in the souvenir stand.

ADDITIONAL RACE DAY UPDATES ...

1. According to NOAA, at race time the temperature is going to be 95 dgrees, dropping into the mid-80's throughout the evening. There is no chance of precipitation, with winds from the west at 5-10 mph (in other words, to your back in the grandstands).

2. The following drivers have now confirmed they will participate in the ElbowsUp.com Pre-Race VIP Party:

Kelly Shryock, Fertile, Iowa ... Nine-time USMTS champion and all-time leading USMTS feature winner (176).
Dereck Ramirez, Woodward, Okla. ... 2011 USMTS Texas Winter Nationals champion.
Clyde Dunn Jr., Sunnyvale ... Over 100 career feature wins, including Texas Motor Speedway.
Chase Allen, Temple ... Popular DFW-area racer and now chassis builder, with tons of feature wins.

They now join the previously announced drivers Rodney Sanders, Stormy Scott, Jason Hughes, Zack VanderBeek, Trevor Hunt, Chris Brown and Johnny Scott.

3. Advance ticket sales to this event are now closed. You can purchase tickets at the main ticket window upon your arrival. Those people that purchased advance tickets include the VIP Pre-Race Party and you get to bypass the general admission ticket line and go directly to the VIP ticket window. A visual has been added to www.RPMSpeedwayTX.com so you can see where you go to receive your VIP armband.

4. Drivers: You will draw-in for the three RPM points classes (Factory Stocks, Limited Modifieds, Street Stocks). There are no entry fees in these classes. Reminder: powerglide transmissions are now legal in the Factory Stocks, providing you race with asphalt pulloffs on all four corners.

5. No reserved pit parking for this event. All parking is on a first-come basis.

6. Pits will be open on Friday around 10 a.m. and pit passes will go on sale at that time too. Grandstands open at 5 p.m., the ElbowsUp.com Pre-Race VIP Party goes from 6-6:30, Hot laps begin at 6:45 and racing gets underway at 7:30 p.m.
