Duvall teaming up with Beebe, Webb for USMTS campaign

CLAREMORE, Okla.—Joe Duvall Racing is excited to announce a new partnership with fellow Oklahoman John Webb and dirt racing legend Rick Beebe as they compete with the United States Modified Touring Series in 2014.

Duvall, 41, met with Beebe earlier this month at the Performance Racing Industry trade show in Indianapolis where the pair began a conversation about working together in the upcoming USMTS campaign.

“Rick and I talked some shop at the PRI show and discussed some of the things that each of us needed to make next season go smoother and be more successful,” Duvall said. “When you are a one-car team, the cost of travel, especially diesel fuel, is your biggest enemy.”

Duvall and Beebe will team up and travel together to most USMTS events this year, beginning with the four-week stretch through Texas and into New Mexico during the month of February.

“I think it will be beneficial to work with Rick,” Duvall added. “He’s been around the block a time or two and knows as much about these cars as anybody. I’ve got a lot of respect for him.”

Both will be behind the wheel of MB Customs Modifieds prepared by Jimmy Mars for car owner John Webb, who will also compete on a regular basis when his duties as promoter of the Southern Oklahoma Speedway allows.

On occasion, any of the three drivers may also steer one of two cars owned by Duvall and built by Hughes Racing Chassis. All of the Modifieds will be powered by Mullins Race Engines.

“Joe and I will primarily be driving the MB Customs cars,” Beebe said. “John will be down for the first two shows in next in a few weeks, so right now my concern is getting three cars plus the tires and fuel we’ll need for this long road trip.

“I think it will be good for both of us, and we should be able to help each other out and make us both better on the racetrack.”

The team will kick off the 2014 campaign at the South Texas Speedway in Corpus Christi on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Feb. 6-8, for the first of 11 nights of racing in February. The region will wrap up on Saturday, March 1, at the Southern New Mexico Speedway in Las Cruces.

Joe Duvall Racing is made possible by support from Don Eaton Coatings & Sandblasting, Duvall Electric, Jones Racing Products and York Street Tire.
