MESQUITE, Texas—How do you put a stop to a drought in North Texas? Schedule a couple USMTS races.

An already rain-soaked Devil's Bowl Speedway got even more rain Tuesday night and track officials have been forced to pull the plug on Wednesday night’s scheduled United States Modified Touring Series event at the famed half-mile dirt oval.

The USMTS ‘Dozens Days of Dirt’ continues Thursday, June 26, for the series' first-ever visit to the Mountain Creek Speedway in Grand Prairie, Texas, with gates opening at 5 p.m. and racing at 8. Limited Sport Mods, Factory Stocks and 600 Mini-Sprints will also be running. Visit www.mountaincreekspeedway.com or call 903-340-9211 for more information about the quarter-mile high-banked clay oval located 0.8 mile west of SR 12 on SR 180 (old US 180).

From there, the series heads to the Superbowl Speedway in Greenville, Texas, on Friday; Southern Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore, Okla., on Saturday; and Outlaw Motorsports Park in Oktaha, Okla., on Sunday for the final events in the S&S Fishing & Rental Southern Region presented by Day Motor Sports.
