USMTS drivers ready to treat fans, haunt Southern Oklahoma Speedway at Halloween Havoc

ARDMORE, Okla.—Going door to door on Halloween is a long-standing tradition, and the stars and cars of the United States Modified Touring Series will do just that this Thursday, Friday and Saturday, Oct. 30-Nov. 1, as they invade the Southern Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore, Okla., for the inaugural Halloween Havoc.

The Best of the Best in open-wheel dirt modified racing will be screaming around the high banks of John and Nikki Webb’s 3/8-mile clay oval with three complete programs each night, racing for $2,000 to win on Thursday, $3,000 to win Friday and $4,000 to win Saturday’s finale.

With Friday night’s event falling on Halloween, the youngsters are invited to do their trick-or-treating at the racetrack from 5-6 p.m. where the pit area will be filled with race teams at the ready with candy and other goodies for the kids in costumes.

Limited Modifieds will also be on the racing card all three nights.

Wednesday night, Oct. 29, will serve as open practice night for USMTS and support class competitors. Gates open at 4 p.m., drivers meeting at 5:45 and practice continues from 6:30-9:30 p.m. (these will be the only hot laps of the weekend).

On Thursday and Saturday, adults get in for $20 while kids ages 6-12 and seniors are just $15. Special frighteningly low pricing is in place for Friday night with adults grandstand tickets just $15 while kids and seniors are $10. However, all kids in costumes get in for free on Friday.

Pit passes are $35 on Thursday and Friday, $40 on Saturday. A four-day pit pass purchased on Wednesday is $120. A three-day pit pass purchased on Thursday is $100.
