USMTS unveils “USMTS 4 Kids” to benefit children’s charities

WEBSTER CITY, Iowa—Officials from the United States Modified Touring Series have unveiled preliminary details for a new campaign called “USMTS 4 Kids” that will involve local drivers, fans and sponsors to benefit children’s charities throughout the racing season.

Through a newly-formed foundation created by the USMTS, the “USMTS 4 Kids” program will benefit  several unique charitable organizations each month during the USMTS Casey’s Cup Series powered by S&S Fishing & Rental, the Hunt for the USMTS Casey’s National Championship and all other USMTS-sanctioned special events.

“This has been in the works for some time now, and we are really happy to finally be able to announce the USMTS 4 Kids program,” said USMTS president Todd Staley. “We think this will be very popular among our fans and everybody else involved with USMTS events. It will be a lot of fun but, most of all, together we’ll all be able to hopefully make a difference in the lives of families that have welcomed our brand of excitement into their communities over the past 16 years.”

For starters, the USMTS will be donating a portion of proceeds from the sale of branded apparel at every event. The series will also be teaming up with the hosting racetrack to donate a portion of proceeds for every paid adult in the grandstands at every event.

Each month, a different charity will be highlighted. The designated charity will be announced and posted at each stop during the month, with nine different organizations benefiting from the month-long fundraisers throughout the year. A representative from that charity will be invited to attend the final race of the month where the USMTS will present a check to them in person.

In addition, the USMTS will offer a silent auction for the top 12 drivers going into the main event each race night. The winner of the main event (if one of those 12) will get half the money raised through the silent auction with the other half going to the highlighted charity of that event.
