USMTS Southern Speedweek continues with Titanic Tuesday at Heart O’ Texas Speedway


WACO, Texas—After a two-day pit stop, the tireless touring titans of the United States Modified Touring Series resume the annual USMTS Southern Speedweek this Tuesday night, June 22, at the Heart O’ Texas Speedway in Elm Mott, Texas.

Leading the brigade of mud-slinging machines into battle will be two-time defending USMTS National Champion Rodney Sanders who brings a six-race winning streak into Tuesday’s blockbuster event.

‘The Rocket’ will be challenged by drivers from eight or more states, including Dereck Ramirez, Johnny Scott, Grant Junghans, Jesse Sobbing, Stormy Scott, Joe Duvall, Philip Houston, Cade Dillard and dozens more of the Best of the Best in open-wheel dirt modified racing.

Adult tickets are $18 with seniors, students and members of the military getting in for just $15. Kids ages 6-11 are $5 and children 5 and under are admitted free of charge. Pit passes are $35.

Limited Modifieds will also be in competition racing for $500 to win. Race time is 7:30 p.m.

The annual USMTS Southern Speedweek continues at the Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas, on Wednesday, June 24; East Texas Speedway in Petty, Texas, on Thursday, June 25; Southern Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore, Okla., on Friday, June 26; and Lawton Speedway in Lawton, Okla., on Saturday, June 27.

Each event in the Double H Bands Southern Region pays the winner $3,000 and up to $300 to start the main event each night. The regional points champion earns a $5,000 paycheck while every driver in the top-15 in final points and any driver with perfect attendance in the region punch their tickets to compete for the USMTS National Championship in the Hunt for the USMTS Casey’s Cup powered by S&S Fishing & Rental.
