WHAT: Olympic Fire Protection Memorial Day Shootout -- a non-points race for the O’Reilly Auto Parts United States Modified Touring Series.
WHEN: Monday, May 30, 2005.
TRACK: Steele County Fairgrounds, 1/2-mile semi-banked clay oval.
LOCATION: Owatonna, Minn.
DIRECTIONS: 1 mile east of I-35 on US 14, then 1.2 miles north on CR 45 (at the Steele County Fairgrounds).
STARTING FIELD: 24 cars will start the Holley "A" Main, with qualifying through heat races and "B" Mains. The top 12 drivers in Home Pride Passing Points accumulated in the heat races will be locked into the Holley "A" Main each night. The top 8 drivers in Home Pride Passing Points will re-draw for starting positions 1-8 in the Holley "A" Main. An additional 10 cars will qualify from the "B" Mains, with two provisional starters added to the Holley "A" Main to create the 24-car starting field. Additional sponsor and/or track provisional(s) may be awarded.
PURSE: $2,000 to win, $200 to start.
