Dripps back on O'Reilly USMTS dirt trail
WATERLOO, Iowa -- Corey Dripps Racing travels to Fort Dodge, IA Tuesday night (07.12.05) as the United States Modified Touring Series roars back to life after a two week hiatus.
Mineral City Speedway (Fort Dodge, IA) is the next night of racing on the CDR racing schedule, and the Yeager Machine, Pro Environmental Abatement, Big Cock Chassis number "31" is slated to compete for the first time at this new track on the USMTS schedule.
"We'll see if our motor problems have been fixed," explained driver Corey Dripps. "We fought a problem during the swing of dates through Wisconsin. The motor just would not stay cool," Dripps went on to say. "We've heard that the track in Fort Dodge (IA) is a fast track, and we'll need the motor to perform at its best. We've scratched our heads over this during the (two week) break. Hopefully it will perform Tuesday night."
The next night the tour heads to the Southern Iowa Speedway (Oskaloosa, IA). On Saturday night, Corey Dripps Racing is scheduled to compete at Jackson Speedway (Jackson, MN) in the Jackson Nationals (a USMTS points paying event).
Sunday, July 18, 2005 the USMTS tour hits the fast Cresco Speedway track, and Corey Dripps Racing fans that are not able to attend will be able to listen to a live radio web cast on RaceRPM.com that night.
"I hope everyone can join us at Cresco (IA), since it is close to home for us," express Dripps. "If not, 'Those Live Update Guys' at RaceRPM.com will have a live web cast that night to keep up to what's going on at the track."
Corey Dripps Racing would like to thank Rob Jorgenson Racing for helping with this swing of dates. Yeager Machine, Grass Works Transportation, Real Racing Wheels, and RaceRPM.com have helped with the upcoming dates on the USMTS trail.
