Argo Manufacturing named Official Spindle of USMTS

WASCO, Ill.—Argo Manufacturing Co. is now Official Spindle of the USMTS, officials from the United States Modified Touring Series announced today.

Argo Manufacturing Co was founded in 1951 in Franklin Park, Ill., as a manufacturer of machinery. The company moved to its present location in Wasco, Ill., in 1979.

In 1985 the performance division was started with the manufacture of lightweight, high-performance aluminum pit jacks for NASCAR and Saturday night racers. From there, Argo’s product line was expanded by adding more products for pit stops such as air guns, lug nut sockets, hoses, and high-flow regulators and hose connectors.

At this point, the company added manufacturing of brake components such as rotors, caliper spacers and heat shields. Argo also handles Motul high-temperature brake fluid. From there, even more high-quality products were added including chassis components, hood pins, scuff plates, weight clamps, sway bar adjusters, pan hard bar adjusters, third-link adjusters and steering U-joints.

Key elements manufactured today are Argo spindles and lower control arms, manufactured in-house to factory specs at affordable pricing, and most products shown in Argo’s catalog of offerings are manufactured in their 20,000-square-foot modern building located in Wasco.

In addition to contributing cash to the USMTS regional and national points funds, Argo Manufacturing Co. will award certificates at year’s end for all three USMTS regional champions, USMTS National Champion and USMTS Rookie of the Year.

For more information, call 800-327-3552. The company plans to launch a new website in the coming weeks.

The 2016 USMTS Casey’s Cup powered by S&S Fishing & Rental will kicks off Thursday-Saturday, Feb. 11-13, at the Shady Oaks Speedway in Goliad, Texas, followed by tripleheader weekends at the Heart ‘O’ Texas Speedway near Waco, Texas, Feb. 18-20; Ark-La-Tex Speedway in Vivian, La., Feb. 25-27; and Southern Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore, Okla., March 3-5.

Each show will pay $2,000, $3,000 and $4,000 to win, respectively, and will comprise the first dozen events in the expanded 17-race USMTS Production Jars Southern Region presented by Day Motor Sports.
