Dripps heads to Deer Creek, Dodge County
WATERLOO, Iowa -- Corey Dripps Racing is set to tackle a lot of racing this September. The busy month begins with races at Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, MN) and Dodge County Speedway (Kasson, MN).
Saturday, September 3rd, the O'Reilly Auto Parts United States Modified Touring Series kicks off a two-day weekend at Deer Creek Speedway. RaceRPM.com will have a live radio web cast of this race beginning at 7 p.m. CDT.
The next night will see CDR and the USMTS travel to Dodge County Speedway. The team will race their IMCA car to get a feel for it during these two nights of racing.
On Wednesday CDR moves the racing caravan to Boone Speedway and the IMCA Super Nationals. The plan at this point for Boone is to try to qualify for the Saturday night feature during Wednesday and Thursday's program. At this point Friday and Saturday's racing location is up in the air.
"We want to see how things are going," stated driver Corey Dripps. "There are a couple of USMTS in Missouri on Friday and Saturday that we are looking at."
"It's a hard choice," added Dripps. "A good run at the Super Nationals could really help with selling Big Cock Chassis in 2006, which will build about seven (chassis) during the off season. On the other side of the coin, we are in the top 5 in USMTS points. A lot will be determined on how things go on Wednesday and Thursday."
