Deatherage Opticians returns as Official Sunglasses of USMTS

WICHITA FALLS, Texas—Deatherage Opticians has signed on as the Official Sunglasses of the United States Modified Touring Series for a second straight season, officials from the USMTS announced today.

Based in Wichita Falls, Texas, Deatherage Opticians was founded by Terry Deatherage in the late 1980s, and is now owned and operated by his son, Greg Deatherage. Terry Deatherage was an NCRA late model champion and a USAC stock car rookie of the year.

Deatherage Opticians carries a massive amount of different sunglass companies, which include Oakley, Maui Jim, Ray Ban, Costa Del Mar and many other top-end shades. Not only do they carry shades, they also carry Oakley Racing Equipment, along with apparel, watches and many more products.

“Deatherage Opticians is proud to be back for another year with USMTS,” said Greg Deatherage. “They run a very organized and professional show as it is why we would want to be associated with them.

“We would like to give back to their fans by offering a 15% discount to all fans that order when they mention this. We will also have our souvenir trailer at the i-80 Speedway race in July. Every race fan wears sunglasses, and we hope the race fans will think of us when they want to support those who support the best race series.”

To get in on this deal, fans are encouraged to call (940) 723-7241 during normal business hours, Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 5:30 and Saturdays from 9:00-1:00.

As part of their program in 2016, Deatherage Opticians will provide gift cards worth $30 off a purchase to a random USMTS driver at every event. Also, the company will provide year-end awards to drivers finishing sixth through tenth in the final USMTS national points.
