HUMBOLDT, Kan.—The preeminent powerhouse of dirt modified racing readies for a humungous doubleheader this Saturday and Sunday, March 19-20, as the United States Modified Touring Series kicks off action in the MSD Central Region presented by Day Motor Sports.

Some stout names are expected for this weekend’s titanic trio of shows, including Jason Hughes, Ryan Gustin, Rodney Sanders, Cade Dillard, Zack VanderBeek, Jesse Sobbing,  Joe Duvall, Scott Drake, Johnny and Stormy Scott, John Allen, Darron Fuqua, Brock and Cody Bauman, Dereck Ramirez, Jake Timm, Lance Town, Lucas Schott, Terry Phillips, Hunter Marriot, Ricky Thornton Jr. and many more surprises.

To get the ball rolling, the fire-breathing machines of the USMTS Casey’s Cup powered by S&S Fishing & Rental take center stage at the Humboldt Speedway this Saturday for the 11th Annual Spring Fling @ The Bullring.

Gates open at 4 p.m. and racing starts at 6:30. Spectator tickets are $20, kids ages 6-12 are $5 and children ages 5 and under get in for free. Pit passes are $35.

The Iron Man Challenge featuring Holley USRA Stock Cars and Out-Pace USRA B-Mods will also be on the racing card along with local Pure Stocks.

On Saturday, the USMTS feature race carries a $3,000 top prize with $750 to win Holley USRA Stock Cars, $600 for the Out-pace USRA B-Mod winner and $250 to top the Pure Stock division.

On Sunday, the USMTS road warriors roll into Winston, Mo., for the 8 Annual Missouri Meltdown at the I-35 Speedway.

Sunday’s USMTS main event winner takes home $3,000. Holley USRA Stock Cars will race for a $750 top prize and Out-Pace USRA B-Mods grapple for a $600 winner’s share of the prize money.
