OGILVIE, Minn.—Ogilvie Raceway officials are thrilled to announce the inaugural “Midweek Modified Madness” event on Thursday, May 12.

This event will combine the best of the best with the RealTruck.com Northern Region opener for the United States Modified Touring Series sharing the dirt with an unsanctioned outlaw B-Mod special.

In addition to a $3,000 top prize for the stars and cars of the USMTS Casey’s Cup powered by S&S Fishing & Rental, Midweek Modified Madness will feature a top B-Mod paycheck of $3,001 to win and $200 to start guaranteed.

This unsanctioned B-Mod event is limited to drivers that drive only in Super Stock or “lower” classes, or drivers that qualify as rookies in every class that event officials consider to be “higher” than a Super Stock. For this event there are no A-Mod, Late Model or Sprint car drivers allowed.

The spirit and intent of this event is to reward the B-Mod drivers with the chance at a bigger paycheck and recognition, and restrictive discretion is reserved by the event promoters to protect the spirit and intent of this B-Mod event.

“Ogilvie Raceway management feels it’s time the largest class in the region’s three major sanctioning bodies receive an event that highlights them,” said the track’s general manager, Nate Fischer. “We want to reward the hard work and devotion that the B-Mod drivers put in, week in and week out, by providing them with a special event to test themselves against other B-Mod drivers.”

Drivers must follow the rules for the sanctioning body in which they are licensed, and all drivers must pre-register for this event by Monday, May 9. The entry fee of $100 includes car and driver.
