Kansas Racers/High Performance Trade Show draws near


Limited trade show and consignment space for the fast-approaching 30th annual Kansas Racers High Performance Trade Show, Swap Meet & Auction, Friday and Saturday, Dec. 30-31, is still available.

But time is running out to reserve your booth and consignments for this annual Midwest Winter Race Show inside the Bob Brown Expo Hall at the Century II Convention Center at 225 W. Douglas in downtown Wichita, Kan.

Track promoters, your chance at a free booth for this event is also slipping by. You must call to reserve your space as well.

For the past 29 years, Greg Deatherage and 4-Speed Promotions has opened the Midwest Winter Race Show in Wichita, and consignments are wanted. You must call early for pre-consignment lot numbers as this show is close to selling out.

Also, limited trade show exhibit and swap meet spaces are available now.

Consignment and set-up is Friday, Dec. 30, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The trade show, auction and swap meet will be hdld Saturday, Dec. 31, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

All new this year, free seminar classes from product speakers will be offered every hour. This year's highlighted speakers include Bobby Bills of BillsBuilt Race Cars, Jay Neal of BSB Manufacturing, Justin Rexwinkle of Designs Unlimited, Pat Fagen of Fast Shafts and Rueben Meyer of Out-Pace Racing Products.

Also, Saturday will feature the 2nd Annual Kansas Racers Reunion from 12 to 6 p.m. where you can meet and greet fellow racers from the Kansas area, view vintage racing memorabilia and check out the latest speed equipment from racing vendors in a climate-controlled facility in downtown Wichita.

Some of the racing legends on hand include Jerry Stone, Mike Peters, Shane Carson, Delbert Smith, Jon Johnson, Larry Dewell, Garry Lee Maier, Van Gemmill, Rick Beebe, Dhon Hauserman and many more.

Tickets for the event are $10 for general admission or $5 for kids ages 6-11. Children 5 and under get in for free.
