Batesville event canceled
The O'Reilly USMTS show originally scheduled for Friday and Saturday, July 28-29, at the Batesville Speedway has been canceled.
"Record-high gas prices are really putting a dent in the pocketbooks of racers everywhere," said O'Reilly USMTS promoter Todd Staley. "In talking with the folks at Batesville, we decided it would be in the best interest of our traveling teams to cancel this date during these times."
Series and track officials are working to secure a possible date later this season when a third event can be injected to make a three-race Southern Region swing to ease the travel woes.
