Brown County Speedway postponed to Aug. 9, becomes part of Hunt for the Casey’s USMTS National Championship
The United States Modified Touring Series event slated for Tuesday, June 13, at the Brown County Speedway has been postponed to Wednesday, Aug. 9.
While this is disappointing news this week, it's really exciting for the make-up as the event will now be a part of The Hunt for the Casey’s USMTS National Championship powered by S&S Fishing & Rental.
For the drivers making the haul to Aberdeen, S.D., for this race, track officials have increased the purse from $3,000 to $3,500 to win and $300 to $400 for all main event starters.

In conjunction, officials from the USMTS have announced that ‘The Hunt’ will now pay $26,000 to the champion (up from $25,000) and a minimum of $2,200 in points fund money (up from $2,000) to all drivers who attend every race during The Hunt for the Casey’s USMTS National Championship.
UP NEXT: Another make-up race inspired by Mother Nature happens this Wednesday, June 14, at the Ogilvie Raceway in Ogilvie, Minn. The 2nd Annual Chubbs Performance Midweek Modified Madness presented by Victory Door Systems will also feature an unsanctioned “outlaw” B-Mod special with a top paycheck of $3,001 to win.
Stormy Scott is a three-time former winner at Ogilvie and Jason Hughes has two victories including last year’s Midweek Modified Madness. Other past USMTS winners here include Jeremy Payne, Jason Krohn and Zack VanderBeek.
Gates open at 5 p.m., hot laps begin at 6:45 and racing starts at 7 p.m. General admission tickets are $20. Seniors ages 55 and older, members of the military and students get in for $18. Kids ages 12 and under are free. Pit passes are $35.
