QA1 announces 2018 sponsorship of USMTS

QA1 is proud to once again be a contingency sponsor of the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) for 2018.

“We couldn’t be more excited to be teamed up with USMTS,” said Marshall Fegers, QA1 Circle Track Product Manager. “Todd and Janet Staley run one of the most professional series in the country. We’re proud to be involved with the series and look forward to supporting the drivers.”

The QA1 contingency award for USMTS will be given to the driver who has the fastest lap time of each race night.

The award, a certificate for $50 off QA1 product, will be open to all competitors throughout each qualifying heat, consolation race and feature. In the event that a track does not have a transponder scoring loop, the award will be given to the driver who leads the most laps in the feature event.

The sponsorship will also provide awards to the sixth- through tenth-place finishers in the final points standings.

The USMTS is one of the fastest-growing and most popular open-wheel dirt modified touring series in the world, and attracts some of the most talented and professional drivers in North America.

Founded in 1993, QA1 is an industry leader in performance shocks, suspension components, driveshafts, rod ends, spherical bearings and related accessories for the motorsports and industrial markets.

QA1 has more than 83,000 square feet of office and manufacturing space in Lakeville, Minn. The state-of-the-art facility includes a complete line of CNC machines, hydraulic presses, filament winding and laser cutting equipment that permit all-inclusive shock absorber, suspension component and driveshaft manufacturing and assembly operations.

QA1’s quality system is certified to the ISO 9001:2008 standard.

The 20th anniversary season featuring the Best of the Best in dirt modified racing features a points fund of more than $160,000 highlighted by a record top prize of $50,000 awaiting the 2018 USMTS National Champion.

The action gets going with the first Summit Racing Equipment USMTS Southern Series event on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 23-24, at the South Texas Speedway in Corpus Christi, Texas.

The first points race in the USMTS Hunt for the Casey’s Cup happens two weeks later on Friday, March 9, at the Jackson Motor Speedway in Byram, Miss., which will also be a Summit Racing Equipment USMTS Southern Series points race.
