USMTS to run special show at Thayer County Speedway



DESHLER, NE (May 17, 2000) — On Tuesday, May 23, the United States Modified Touring Series will be holding a special at the Thayer County Speedway in Deshler, Neb. Classes that will be running are Modifieds, Stock Cars and Cruisers. All gates open at 5 p.m. Top pay will be $2,000 to win the USMTS Modified class, with $200 to start the "A" feature. Stock Car and Cruiser classes will be $300 to win with a minimum of 30 cars entered. Added to this, the Thayer County Speedway will give 30 track points to every registered I.M.C.A. driver that runs this show. These points will go towards the season points winner, who will receive $1,000 to win this year's title. Stock Car and Cruiser classes will be running for regular points, with $500 to the season points champion this year. It will be a night you won't want to miss since some of the nation's top drivers will be at this show.
