Tesch cruises to O’Reilly USMTS National Tour victory at South Coffeyville

SOUTH COFFEYVILLE, Okla. – Jon Tesch started on the pole, took the lead at the drop of the green flag and led all 40 laps of the Holley "A" Main Saturday night as the O’Reilly USMTS National Tour invaded the Mid America Speedway in South Coffeyville, Okla.

It was the first trip to victory lane this season for Tesch, who became a first-time father a little more than a month ago.

The 32-year-old from Watertown, S.D., earned $2,000 for the win, and also pocketed an extra $100 from Ruter Farms for making the longest haul (630.61 miles).

Johnny Bone Jr. of Pea Ridge, Ark., took home the runner-up finish while Tulsa's Greg Skaggs finished third. Fourth went to Kelly Shryock of Fertile, Iowa, and Steve Holzkamper of Gentry, Ark., rounded out the top-5 finishers.

Sixth through tenth, respectively, were Al Purkey, Justin Boney, John Allen, Jason Hughes and Tommy Weder Jr.

Shryock continues atop the Mo-Kan Region points standings with 774 points, while Hughes trails with 693. Tesch is third with 683 markers, followed by Allen (652), Boney (603), Bone (585), Brandon Kenny (576), Zack VanderBeek (526), Jason Krohn (510) and Gary Langworthy Jr. (499).
