Dripps to run for USMTS Rookie of the Year honors
CEDAR FALLS, Iowa (Jan. 30, 2003) - Corey Dripps of Cedar Falls, Iowa, will compete for the 2003 USMTS Rookie of the Year.
"We've raced the (USMTS) series off and on the last four years," stated Dripps. "We haven't earned enough points or raced enough races in the past, so we will be eligible for the rookie title. This will give us another goal to shoot for in 2003."
Corey Dripps Racing announced earlier this month that the team would run the full schedule after joining forces with Carl Beattie Motorports at the beginning of 2003. Along with Dirt Works Race Cars and AFCO Racing, the team is ready to tackle this tough challenge.
"It won't be easy," Dripps commented. "I know a lot of other top modified drivers who have also indicated they plan to run the series in 2003." Kelly Shryock won his fourth title in 2002 and Justin Boney claimed last year's Rookie of the Year honors.
Along with Dirt Works Race Cars and AFO Racing, the team receives support from RaceRPM.com, R.A. Benson Motorsports, Reinbeck Auto, Axle Exchange, K&H Heating & Plumbing, Specialty Motorsports, Grass Works, and Pollution Controls Systems.
The crew continues to ready the car for the first USTMS race of 2003 on March 28th & 29th in Winston, MO. For more information log on to www.RaceRPM.com/dripps.
