LEBANON, Mo. - Officials from the I-44 Speedway in Lebanon, Mo., announced Friday, July 18, that the O'Reilly USMTS National Tour event scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 9, has been canceled.

"We lost time due to the new surface and rain this season, and with our Larry Phillips Memorial Race only three weeks later we felt that we might have had some special events too close together," said promoter Randy Mooneyham. "This was a tough decision as we had the second race in the Casey's General Stores Hunt for the USMTS National Championship, and those drivers put on a great show."

Shortly after the announcement, USMTS officials spoke with officials from the Springfield (Mo.) Raceway, which will now be the host venue for the event.

The Springfield Raceway is located in Springfield, Mo., which USMTS National Tour title sponsor O'Reilly Auto Parts also calls home. The track is a 1/4-mile semi-banked clay oval located off of I-44 at Exit 75, then south to Kearney Hwy., then 1.0 mile west to Westgate Ave., then 0.3 mile south.
