SLAYTON, Minn. -- Jason Hughes used his front row outside spot to win his fourth USMTS race of the season, but this win did not come easy as Chris Spieker started from the AFCO pole and worked on Hughes for the first eight laps before hitting a tire in turns 1-2 ending his evening.

Tommy Myer was running third when this happened moving Myer into second. Myer had several chances as him and Hughes raced side by side for the next twenty laps.

Several caution flags kept the field bunched up.

Myer came across the line in front on three different occasions and led going down the backstretch several times.

Mark Noble used a provisional to get into the main event and worked his way to a third place finish, but went across the scales thirty-five pounds light and was disqualified giving third to Kelly Shryock.

Rounding out the top five was Justin Boney and John VanDenBerg.

Forty-four cars checked in for the racing action.

Haulmark heat races were won by Kelly Shryock, Joe McBirnie, Tommy Myer, Craig Scott, and Jason Krohn.

Harris Auto Racing B-mains were won by Darin Walker and Eddie Martin.
