USMTS National Tour set for 17 shows in 19 days



WEBSTER CITY, Iowa -- The second USMTS National Tour is set to get underway Tuesday, June 3 at the Jackson Speedway in Jackson, MN and should feature some of the best modified drivers in the country coming out in droves to race for the more than $200,000 purse for the seventeen days of racing. This season the series will kick off the first race in Jackson, MN and will feature the Stock Cars racing for $500 to win, with the hobby stocks racing for $300 to win. The first travel day for the series will be on Wednesday as drivers move to the north for the first ever visit to the Jamestown Speedway in Jamestown, ND on Thursday June 5 th. Each of these two races will pay $2000 to the winner. The series will then move to the north a little more as the Fisher Motors Roughrider Classic will once again be sanctioned by the USMTS.

This race a three-day race will pay $1000 on Friday and Saturday before the main event on Sunday will pay the winner $5000. The final travel day will be Monday June 9 th, before the series starts a twelve-day straight run that will start in Nebraska at the Speed Bowl in Red Cloud.

This will be the first ever visit to the speedway for the USMTS and fans will be treated to some great racing as several of America’s top modified drivers do battle at this speedway every week.

This race is set for Tuesday June 10 th and will feature stock cars, hobby stocks, and cruisers also running. The series will then move to the Thunderhill Speedway in Mayetta, KS for the first ever visit and will feature two-days of complete shows for all classes. Factory Stocks with the Supers Stocks will also be on hand. These classes will run a complete program each night. These two races are set for June 11-12. The series will then move to the Lee County Speedway in Donnellson, IA for a complete program with all classes running. This race is Friday June 13 th and this race was just scheduled and will take the place of the Moberly race. On Saturday June 14 th the series will make its second stop of the season to the Scotland County Fairgrounds in Memphis, MO, this is another race that was just scheduled as another track decided not to have another special this season. The first visit of the season saw fifty-five cars check in for the racing action with Al Hejna from Ventura, IA picking up the win. On Sunday the series will move to the Eldon Raceway in Eldon, IA for the first ever USMTS event at the speedway. Stock Cars will also race $500 to win with the Hobby Stocks racing for $300 to win. This race was another race that was just rescheduled.

On Monday June 16 th the series will make its first appearance to the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa, IA and will also feature the Stock Cars racing for $500 to win with the Hobby Stocks racing for $300 to win. The same will be true on Tuesday night when the USMTS invades the Butler County Speedway in Allison, IA for the first of two visits to the speedway.

Modifieds, Stock Cars, and Hobby Stocks will be on hand. Stock Cars will pay $500 to win and Hobbies $300 to win.

On Wednesday the 18 th of June the series will move back to the Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, MN and will feature two support classes. Check out the Deer Creek website for that info.

On Thursday June 19 th the series will make a first time race at the BV Raceway in Alta, IA for a fair race. This race will once again feature stocks cars $500 to win with the hobby stocks $300 to win.

The swing will wind down with the final two stops at the Murray County Speedway in Slayton, MN on Friday and the Worthington Speedway in Worthington, MN on Saturday.

Fans and drivers will need to check out their sites for the support classes for the last two events.
