USMTS set for Fox Ridge Speedway in Arcadia, WI
ARCADIA, Wils. -- The United States Modified Touring Series will invade the Fox Ridge Speedway this Friday night for the Wisconsin Summer Classic that will pay the winner of the Midwest Motorsports Main Event $2000. The USMTS took last season off from Fox Ridge and is looking forward to a return visit to this beautiful speedway. This track is in its third full season of racing and is set up for drivers and fans and anyone that has not seen this speedway needs to check it out this Friday night when the USMTS drivers invade the speedway. This race is tied in with the non-points Gopher 50 and should have several drivers in the area so we are expecting a good field of cars to make the journey from Owatonna to Arcadia, WI for the show on Friday night. This race will be on Hoosier tires and drivers will be allowed to run any of the three compounds A/D/H40 tires. After thirty-two races this season Tommy Myer has the USMTS National Points lead with four-time USMTS champion Kelly Shryock nipping with a hard charging Jason Hughes running third. The USMTS north region has Kelly Shryock at the point with Tommy Myer, Jason Hughes, and Justin Boney rounding out the top four. Some of the expected drivers for this race include: Tommy Myer, Kelly Shryock, Jason Hughes, Justin Boney, Mark Noble, Dean Mahlstadt, Willy Kraft, Craig Scott, Jason Krohn, Corey Dripps, and all the local favorites. For more information on this race call the USMTS office at 515-832-7944. USMTS will make one final appearance to the Fox Ridge Speedway in August on a Friday night. We hope to see everyone this Friday night at the Fox Ridge Speedway in Arcadia, WI.
