USMTS to stop at Scotland County Fairgrounds this Saturday August 2nd
MEMPHIS, Mo. -- The United States Modified Touring Series will makes its final appearance to the Scotland County Speedway this Saturday. The USMTS has visited the track two times so far this season and Al Hejna and Tony Fraise picked up the wins at the speedway against some very tough modifieds. This race will be part of a five-day swing that will see some of America’s top modifieds on hand do racing for all the extra money at hand. The USMTS will visit Canton, IL on Tuesday, Peoria, IL on Wednesday, Knoxville, IL on Thursday and Quincy, IL on Friday before making a stop at the Memphis, MO track on Saturday. Some of the expected drivers for this race are Kelly Shryock, Scott Megonigle, Tommy Myer, Jason Hughes, Henry Delonjay, Mark Burgtorf, Brad Pinkerton, Justin Boney, John VanDenBerg, Ron VerBeek, Corey Dripps plus many more. All the local favorites will also be on hand. This will be the regular Saturday night so all of the weekly classes will also be running. Hot Laps will begin at 6:15 pm with racing to follow.
