USMTS to invade the Quincy Raceway August 1st with $3000 to win Modified main event
QUINCY, Ill. -- The United States Modified Touring Series will make its annual appearance to the Quincy Raceway this Friday night for the Tri-State Race Products 50. This race will feature some of America’s top modifieds doing battle on this very racy ¼ mile speedway. This will be the first stop of the season to the Quincy Raceway for the USMTS and fans will be treated to some great side by side modified action. This year the Bombers and B-mods will also be running with the USMTS modifieds. Racing action will begin with hot laps at 6:45 pm and racing to follow. Ticket prices will be $12 for adults and $3 for kids 6-12 years of age. Some of the expected drivers for this race include: local favorites Mark Burgtorf, Ryan Meyer, Henry Delonjay, Tony Fraise, Michael Long, Brandon Lennox against some of the top modified drivers like: Tommy Myer, Justin Boney, Jason Hughes, Kelly Shryock, Craig Scott, Corey Dripps, Mike Chasteen, Bruce Hanford, Jason Connoyer plus many more. More than forty drivers are expected for this event. This race will be the last stop of the 2003 season to the Illinois area for the USMTS so fans will want to get to the Quincy Raceway for this race. The United States Modified Touring Series has raced thirty-three nights heading into this five-day swing, which should bring in several different drivers more than ten states should be represented during this swing.
