102 pre-entered as “who's who” of Modifieds head for Featherlite Fall Jamboree

SPRING VALLEY, Minn. – The wait is nearly over for thousands of race fans in America’s heartland as the 10th Annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree is less than 48 hours away.

Slated for this Wednesday through Saturday, Sept. 17-20 at the Deer Creek Speedway, the Featherlite Fall Jamboree is the undisputed marquee event for America’s most talented dirt Modified drivers, and this year’s event is shaping up to be one of the biggest ever as 102 of the “who's who” of dirt Modified racing have already pre-entered for this year’s installment.

Featuring the O'Reilly USMTS National Tour, the star-studded field of superstars consists of drivers come from 10 different States (Arkansas, Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas and Wisconsin) and one Canadian Province (Ontario) as they converge on the tiny rural town of Spring Valley, Minn. for a possible $12,000 to win over three big days.

Along with the O’Reilly USMTS Modifieds, the four-day event will also feature WISSOTA Midwest Mods, with more than 50 early entries already in. Combined, the two classes will compete for a total purse of nearly $200,000 in America's dream date for Modified fans.

Three complete shows are on tap for Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the high-banked 3/8-mile clay oval, with a practice session and the "Night of Victory" Shoot-Out to kick off the festivities on Wednesday.

Wednesday – Early bird race fans can get a free preview of the action, and drivers will get their chance to make final adjustments to their machines with an open practice for all drivers in all classes beginning at 4:00 p.m. Then at 7:30, NASCAR superstar Kevin Harvick will take part in the "Night of Victory" Shoot-Out featuring NASCAR Nationwide Series driver Landon Cassill, top American Drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr. and 17 local and national dirt Modified aces. Former crew chief and current FOX Sports analyst Larry McReynolds will join the team in the announcers booth for the call of the race. Admission to the grandstands is just $10. V.I.P. Tickets are still available for this event for $60, which includes access to the private meet and greet with the NASCAR celebs, a guaranteed autograph, a fantastic meal catered by the Minnesota Pork Council and the opportunity to bid on great NASCAR memorabilia, plus access to the grandstands, pits and V.I.P. area.

Thursday – A field of 30 cars will start the O’Reilly USMTS main event, which carries a $2,000 top prize and pays a minimum of $200 to start—a hefty top prize, indeed, but that’s only opening day at The Jamboree! Grandstand gates open at 4:00 p.m. and the first green flag waves at 6:00.

Friday – Friday’s menu will kick off with the annual Jamboree Golf Tournament in the morning, followed by a second night of screaming on-track action. The O’Reilly USMTS Modifieds will again have a 30-car feature field, with the winner’s share of the purse doubled to $4,000 and a minimum of $300 going to each driver making the main event. Fans, drivers, crews and families will put a lid on Friday’s festivities with the annual Karaoke Night … open to everybody. Gates open at 4:00 p.m. with racing scheduled to start at 6:00.

Saturday – The super-sensational enormous explosive finale will feature the hottest dirt Modified pilots in the nation battling for a spot in the 10th Annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree main event for the O’Reilly USMTS Modifieds. A field of 30 cars will start the main event three-wide and 10 rows deep as drivers battle for a $6,000 top prize and at least $700 just to take the green flag. And if that wasn’t enough, non-qualifiers will have a chance at one of the 24 spots in the Non-Qualifier "A" Main, which carries a $2,000 top prize and pays $300 to start—that’s more than most Modified races pay to win their “big one.” Fans can begin storming the gates at 3:00 p.m. and the mud starts flying at 5:00.

On Thursday, Friday and Saturday, breakfast will be served by the Bear Creek Church Men’s Club in the hospitality area from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Thursday's meals will be served as a free will donation while Friday and Saturday is just $6 per person. All proceeds benefit the Bear Creek Men’s Club. Open to all … you don’t want to miss this great home-cooked opportunity!

WISSOTA national points will be awarded all three nights for the WISSOTA Midwest Mods. Thursday's main event will pay $300 to win and $60 to start, Friday will pay $400 to win and $70 to start and Saturday's winner will earn $500 with $80 guaranteed to start the 24-car main event.

Last, but certainly not least … this year’s Featherlite Fall Jamboree will be the final event in the Casey's General Stores Hunt for the O'Reilly USMTS National Championship. Not only will we produce a 10th Featherlite Fall Jamboree winner, but we will also crown the ninth O’Reilly USMTS National Champion after Saturday night’s finale.

Tickets may be purchased online at www.deercreekspeedway.com or by calling toll-free 877-DCS-RACE. For track or campground info, call (507) 346-2342 or email info@deercreekspeedway.com. The Deer Creek Speedway is a 3/8-mile high-banked clay oval located off of I-90 at Exit 209, then 11.3 miles south on US 63 (0.7 mile north of SR 16).
