SPRING VALLEY, Minn. -- On Saturday morning the makeup show from the Thursday night rainout was the next on line during the long weekend of racing activities. Afternoon shows are never high on any promoters list of types of shows to want to run but sometimes they just need to be done. This time those fans in attendance saw one of the better day time shows that I have ever witnessed. There were multiple lanes through most of the day.

Mark Noble and Darin Duffy paced the field for the feature event while the pack ran two and three wide behind them. Noble moved out front briefly but Duffy battled back and took over the point. Duffy slipped up and went down into the infield as Bruce Hanford moved into the third spot with Dripps in hot pursuit behind him. Duffy pulled back up onto the track and battled with John Tesch and Brandon Smith for the sixth spot. With eighteen laps left in the race Dripps pulled up to battle with Hanford for the second spot. Dripps cleared the spot and started to reel in Noble for the point. Coming out of four with nine laps left Dripps dropped below Noble for the lead as Hanford pulled up to battle with Noble. Noble was too strong and held the second spot to the line as Dripps took home the win and the $2,000 first place prize.
