USMTS ready to kick off season opener at the Many Motor Speedway February 26-28


MANY, La. -- The 2004 USMTS race season is only three weeks from the first race of the season and this race will happen with the first ever visit to Louisiana for the USMTS and that stop will be at the Many Motor Speedway in Many, LA one hour south of Shreveport. This race will be the first race of the south region and also the first race of the very busy USMTS National Schedule, which has more than eighty nights of racing scheduled for the 2004 race season. An open practice will be on Wednesday night starting at 5pm and running until 9pm. Racing will get underway on Thursday night with the USMTS modifieds running for the $2000 to win complete show. Also running on Thursday night will be the Sims/ULMA Limited Modifieds racing for the $300 to win. This will be the only two classes racing the first night, which will see each class run heat races, B-mains, and A-mains. This three-day swing will be three complete shows for all classes racing. Any driver that cannot make one night does not get penalized for missing a night. On Friday night the racing will once again get underway at 6:30pm with hot laps and racing scheduled to get underway at 7pm. This night will see the local Pure Stock class racing with the SIMS/ULMA Limited Modifieds, and USMTS Modifieds. Once again complete shows will be run for all classes. Limiteds will be racing for $350 on Friday night, Pure Stocks $150 to win, and USMTS modifieds will race for $2000 to win.

Saturday night will once again feature Limited Modifieds racing for $400 to win, Street Stocks $250 to win and USMTS modifieds racing for $3000 to win. Any driver that can win two nights will get a $1000 bonus in the USMTS class. If someone could win all three nights there would be a $5000 bonus. USMTS is looking forward to kicking off the 2004 race season at the Many Motor Speedway and all fans and drivers can plan on seeing some of the best racing they have ever seen. The USMTS is a traveling series that will race more than seventy races in a thirteen state area and brings some of the best drivers throughout the US. Fans will get to see several Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Missouri, Iowa, Minnesota, Kansas, and Arkansas drivers making the tow to Many. More than sixty modifieds is expected for this event with more than ten states represented. The good thing with the USMTS three-day show is drivers will get paid each night giving drivers the chance to make some money each night.
