Three stops in Wisconsin up next for USMTS North Region
WEBSTER CITY, Iowa -- The United States Modified Touring Series will make a three-day swing to the Wisconsin area next on Friday May 21st at the Fox Ridge Speedway in Arcadia, WI for the first of two stops to the speedway. This race will feature all the local favorites with all the USMTS travelers making the visit to the beautiful speedway.
Gates will open at 5pm with hot laps scheduled for 7pm and racing to follow.
This race will be run on American Racer G60 tires. Also running will be the Wissota Super Stocks paying $500 to win with the WISSOTA Street Stocks and Midwest Mods each paying $300 to win.
The series will move to the Powercom@Raceway Park in Beaver Dam, WI for two stops each paying $2000 to win on Saturday and Sunday May 22-23. This will be two complete shows for all classes.
A good field of cars is expected for the first visit of the season to the Wisconsin area for the USMTS. Some of the expected drivers include: Kelly Shryock, Mark Noble, Tommy Myer, Mike Mashl, Brian Mullen, Jay Ihrke, Tim Donlinger, Nate Wasmund, Al Hejna, Mike Hejna, Scott Mullen, Nick Woods, Dean Mahlstedt, John Tesch, Zack Vanderbeek, Bruce Hanford, Dennis Haldeman, Steve Lurvey, Mike Sandholm plus all the local favorites.
Each race will pay $2000 to win and $200 to start. The race in Beaver Dam will also feature the Stock Cars paying $250 to win each night, Legends, and Dirt Devils. The Dirt Devils will pay $150 to win each night with the Legends paying $250 each night. Racing action will get underway with hot laps at 6:30 on Saturday and racing to follow and Sunday hot laps will be at 5:30 with racing to follow at 6pm.
