AMB Identification & Timing to be used in 2009
Electronic scoring provided by AMB Identification & Timing will be used at all USMTS races during the 2009 race season.
We have been working hard throughout the years and know that this job is probably the toughest job to do, especially since the racing has gotten so evenly-matched.
Right or wrong, drivers sometimes feel that they get the short end of the stick when it comes to scoring, but that will no longer be the case with the USMTS.
We will still score to the yellow flag and will line up drivers from that spot on back.
All tracks will be required to install the loops, and the USMTS will provide them to the tracks that don’t currently have them.
AMB Identification & Timing provides racing organizations with professional-level results with minimal effort. The system eliminates arguments over inaccurate hand-scored results, while providing racers with race data such as individual lap times, lap charts and a history of their results. The system keeps track of results live during the race, which can be sent simultaneously to scoreboards, TV crews and monitors in the pits. Final race results are ready for print or for posting to Mylaps.com immediately following the race. AMB was founded in 1982 by Alfonsus Maria Bervoets (hence, AMB).
