USMTS returns to Hamilton County Speedway June 8
WEBSTER CITY, Iowa -- The United States Modified Touring Series will make a stop during the 3rd Annual National Tour to the Hamilton County Speedway in Webster City, IA on Tuesday June 8th for the Sho-Dust 40.
This will be the first visit in three years to the speedway and we are looking very forward to having a USMTS race back at our home track in Webster City.
The last time the USMTS visited the speedway was back in 2001 for the Jamboree.
The United States Modified Touring Series has grown a lot in the last three years with several new drivers following the series.
USMTS based here in Webster City and run by Todd and Janet Staley will be promoting the race and fans will be treated to great side by side racing action. Also running will be the Hobby Stocks, B-mods, and Stock Cars.
Gates will open at 5pm with hot laps slated for 6:45 and racing at 7:15.
The racing program will be run off in a very quick fashion as USMTS realizes fans and drivers have to work the next day.
Some of the expected drivers for this race include all the local favorites: Rick Gustin, Scott Olson, Scott Williams, Dave Doughty, Richie Gustin, Jimmy Gustin, Mark Elliott, Bob Sutherland, Pat Graham, Denny Rosenberg to name a few. Some of the expected traveling drivers include Tommy Myer, Mark Noble, Kelly Shryock, Jason Hughes, Zack Vanderbeek, John Vandenberg, Willy Kraft, Johnny Bone, Jason Krohn, Al Hejna, Mike Hejna, John Logue, Kenny Gaddis, Steve Kosiski, Craig Scott, Mike Sorensen, Chris Spieker, Corey Dripps Dan Bohr, Kevin Pittman, Johnny Saathoff plus many more.
Stock cars will pay $400 to win, hobby stocks $300 to win, and B-mods $300 to win.
This may be your only chance to see the top modified drivers in the USA at the Hamilton County Speedway so mark your calendars for Tuesday June 8th.
Grandstand admission is $12 for adults and $3 for kids 6-12.
