Dirt Nation gets facelift, new name

DULUTH, Minn. – Dirt Nation, the online destination for dirt track racing fans to listen to and download interviews, has undergone a name change to properly endorse the various technologies currently offered and those to be added in the future.

The new name is Dirt Cast and the website can now be found at www.dirtcast.com.

Long in the planning stages, the change was ramped up due to increasing interest in the site in the past month and projected growth in the next calendar year.

Dirt Cast offers the same functions as Dirt Nation, and will be expanded on in the coming months. Dirt Cast offers On Demand Podcast interviews that can be downloaded and played on your PC, played on the website, or listened to on Itunes.

Live broadcast dates will be released in the coming weeks in addition to the testing of live video throughout 2009 and increased functionality for accessing broadcasts, broadcast archives, podcasts and premium content.

“It's a natural transition,” stated Dave Seay, lead host of Dirt Cast. “We had planned the move to Dirt Cast, but it was not planned until the fourth quarter of 2009. The interest in the product in the last month has sped up our growth, and we are very excited to deploy even more options for our listeners.”

Visitors to Dirt Cast have increased over 300% since the re-launch and transition to On Demand content in October of 2008.

“Our goals for 2009 have already been shattered,” added Seay. “The opportunity to offer live broadcasts has opened new doors for Dirt Cast, and we plan to maximize the potential of this market.”

All of the links from Dirt Nation have been forwarded to Dirt Cast. All branding, advertising, and social marketing are in transition and full brand revitalization will be complete by March 1. Potential advertisers are encouraged to contact dave@dirtcast.com for promotional opportunities.
