PELLA, Iowa – Zack and Carrie VanderBeek are the proud parents of a new baby girl.

Addison Ann VanderBeek was born Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009 at 5:09 p.m. at Pella Regional Health Center in Pella, Iowa.

“Addy Ann” weighed in at 7 lbs., 2 oz. and is 20 1/2 inches tall.

“Everyone is doing great and as of today – and as long as everything continues to go well – proud daddy plans to be at McCool Junction this weekend,” said new grandma Barb VanderBeek. “Verdict is still out on mommy and baby.”

The first-time parents and their new bundle of joy will make their home in New Sharon, Iowa.

Zack won the 2004 USMTS Rookies Rockin' Sports Bar Rookie of the Year title and has been a regular fixure on the USMTS Casey's General Stores National Tour campaign ever since. The “Z-Man” produced his best season ever in 2008 while garnering 6 wins, 29 top-five finishes and 41 top-tens in 59 starts. His two biggest wins came late in the season with a victory on the second night of the Featherlite Fall Jamboree at the Deer Creek Speedway in September before claiming the USMTS Southern Series finale in Decemeber at Houston Raceway Park's Texas Winter Nationals. He also earned the year-long KSE Racing Products Hard Charger Award in the USMTS Casey's General Stores National Tour by passing 243 of his competitors in 55 main events.
