Next up for USMTS National Tour action will be four stops in North Dakota
The United States Modified Touring Series National Tour that will feature eighteen nights of racing in twenty days will now move to the Jamestown, Mandan, and Minot area for four nights of racing action. The series will start on Thursday night June 10th at the Jamestown Speedway in Jamestown, ND. Dom Gumke and crew had a stop for the USMTS last season and some great modified action was witnessed by all fans in attendance as Kelly Shryock picked up the win. Thirty-eight modifieds checked in for the racing action last season and more is expected this season.
Several USMTS travelers are trekking to the North Dakota area for the four nights of racing paying $2000 to win each night. On Friday the series has been in the Minot area the last two seasons for three nights of racing action. This season Nodak Speedway decided to make there race a two-day special paying $2000 to win each night. So this season the USMTS will make its first ever appearance to the Dacotah Speedway in Mandan, ND. This race will be on Friday June 11th. We have heard a lot of good things about this track and fans will be treated to some great modified racing action. The series will make its final stop of the weekend to the Nodak Speedway in Minot, ND on Saturday and Sunday.
This race saw more than forty cars last season and more is expected for the tour this weekend. Last season Tommy Myer from Blooming Prairie picked up the win and pocketed the $5000 paycheck. All four of these races will pay $2000 to win and $200 to start the main event. For more information on support classes running check out each tracks website.
