Touring Modifieds invade Ozarks
LEBANON, Mo. -- The best of the MidWest in Modified Racing will be invading the Ozarks this weekend as the United States Modified Touring Series will make their first apperance into the area as drivers from 4-6 States will racing fro the $2,000 to win first place prize.
Drivers such as Iowa's Kelly Schyrock,Minnesota veteran Mark Noble,Arkansas Johhny Bone Jr.,Missouri's Gary Clark and local talent Erik Maggard,Eric Hudson, Rex Merritt,Eric Turner and many more will go to battle for the weekend swing.
The action will start at Bolivar Speedway on Friday Night as the USMTS Modifieds will headline.LateModels,FactoryStocks,and Bombers are racing for track points on the card at the Action Track of the Ozarks with racing to start at 8PM.
Then the drivers will head to the High-banks of the Lebanon I-44 Speedway on Sat. Night with Race time set for 7:30 as LateModels,SuperStocks,FactoryStocks,and Bombers will be racing for regular track points.
Then the Granddaddy of the area dirttracks will host the USMTS Modifieds along with IMCA LateModels,FactoryStocks and Bombers Sunday Night with race time at 7:30.
This is the only scheduled appreance for the USMTS Modifieds at Bolivar and Lebanon this season,and is the first Special event at I-44 this season.
The USMTS Cars-n-stars are coming off a strong MidWest Swing where Kelly Schyrock is currently heading up the point standings.Expected entries should range around 30-40 cars or more for this event as it is a National points race for the USMTS.
