ELKO, Minn. – The Elko Speedway in Elko, Minn., will cover their legendary asphalt track and host the inaugural Dirt Nationals Wednesday through Saturday, July 22-25.

The USMTS Casey's General Stores National Tour will tackle the track for two nights during the blockbuster event on Friday and Saturday, July 24-25.

Joining the mud-slinging Modified masters will be the IRA Winged 410 Outlaw Sprint Cars and INEX Legends Cars.

Elko Speedway is located a half hour south of downtown Minneapolis – just a mile and a half west of I-35 at the Elko-New Market Exit 76. The 2009 season marks the 44th year of racing at Elko Speedway, which is a high-banked 3/8-mile oval. Both outside and inside track lights allow for fantastic fan viewing during night events.

The Dirt Nationals will be the next-to-last events for drivers competing in the Yeager Machine Upper Midwest Region of the USMTS Casey's General Stores National Tour. Last year, Tim Donlinger captured the regional title and went on to win the USMTS National Championship.

Tickets: On both Friday and Saturday, adult tickets are $20 for general admission or $25 reserved. Kids ages 5-12 years old are $10 and $15, respectively. Children under 5 years of age are admitted free of charge for general admission seating. Special four-day ticket packages are available on the Elko Speedway website here.

Pit Passes: Pit passes are $35 per day. Drivers may purchase a two-day pit pass by printing the form here then mailing or faxing the form to the Elko Speedway.

Motor Pit Registration: Four-wheelers may be used in the pits at no charge but will need to provide proof of insurance. All other motor vehicles will be charged and there will be a limited number of golf carts and four-wheelers allowed. Call 952-461-7223 to register yours now.
