USMTS to visit Fox Ridge Speedway Friday
ARCADIA, Wis. -- The United States Modified Traveling Series will make its first stop of the season to the Fox Ridge Speedway in Arcadia, WI on Friday July 23rd. The series was scheduled to stop back in May to the speedway, but Mother Nature had other plans and rained that event out. That race was not rescheduled so this will be the only stop of the season to the beautiful 3/8 mile speedway.
Dave and Judy Hesch have built a great facility and fans will be treated to some great side by side modified action. A good field of cars is expected for this event that will pay the winner $2000.
Some of the expected local drivers expected to be on hand include Karl Fenske, Mike Sorensen, Les Duellman, Bob Timm, Jay Ihrke, Ron Britian, Jonah Daffinson, John and Gary Doelle, Tim Donlinger, Rick Hauser. Some of the expected travelers include: Kelly Shryock Fertile, IA, Brad McEwan Storm Lake, IA, Jason Hughes Colcord, OK, Tommy Myer Blooming Prairie, MN, Mark Noble Blooming Prairie, MN, Johnny Bone Jr. Pea Ridge, AR, Jason Krohn Slayton, MN, Bruce Hanford, Davenport, IA, John Tesch Watertown, SD, Al and Mike Hejna Clear Lake, IA, and Corey Dripps. All regular classes will be running and racing action will get underway with hot laps at 7pm and racing to follow. This will be the only chance to see the United States Modified Touring Series at the Fox Ridge Speedway so come and see some great modified action this Friday at the Fox Ridge Speedway in Arcadia, WI.
