Wallace to battle USMTS stars, local USRA drivers at Midway Speedway
LEBANON, Mo. - NASCAR's Kenny Wallace is returning to the mighty Midway Speedway to tackle the toughest, baddest Modifieds around as the USMTS Casey's General Stores National Tour rolls into the "Action Track of the Ozarks" on Friday night, May 15, for their only apperance of 2009 in a $2,000-to-win Bear Tire Mo-Kan Region points race.
Oklahoma's Jason Hughes currently leads the Bear Tire Mo-Kan Region as a star-studded field will be on hand to challange the NASCAR veteran.
Wallace, who co-hosts SPEED Channel's Trackside, will be bringing his #36 JEG'S Impressive Chassis Modified in an attempt to make the tough feature line-up.
Other drivers expected to be on hand include Jon Tesch of South Dakota, who won last August at the Midway Speedway, Iowa's Kelly Shryock, Bryan Rowland of Oklahoma, Johnny Bone Jr. of Arkansas, Zack VanderBeek of Iowa and many more.
Heading the local USRA drivers will be defending Midway Speedway USRA Modified track champion Jamie Ragland of Lebanon, 2007 track champ Eric Hudson of Rolla, Rusty Dukes of Fair Grove and many others.
Wallace will be on hand early to sign autographs and visit with the fans.
Action will also feature points racing in the Factory Stocks, B-Mods, Bombers and Pure Stocks.
Grandstand gates will open at 5:00 with hot laps starting at 7:00 and racing at 8:00 sharp.
Admission will be $15 for adults while kids prices will remain FREE for 10 and under.
