Shryock wins at Owatonna
<p>Kelly Shryock picked up a win for Team HTL over the Labor Day holiday weekend with major events on his schedule for the upcoming weekend. Kelly competed in four USMTS events this past week and racked up one win and three additional top five finishes. His win came at the Steele County Fairgrounds in Owatonna, Minn., on Friday night. The Fertile, IA pilot finished third in his heat race, but came to the front in the $2,000 to win USMTS feature event to get the win. It was Kelly's 24th win of the 2004 campaign. Kelly was a runner-up finisher in two events last week. He ran second at the Benton County (IA) Speedway on Thursday night and at the Deer Creek (MN) Speedway on Saturday. His worst finish of the week was a third place outing on Monday night at the Dodge County (MN) Speedway. That event was held on Labor Day after Sunday's events were postponed a day due to inclement weather. Kelly currently leads the USMTS point standings heading into the home stretch of the 2004 season.
